This is a comprehensive Service Dog Program. It includes both in person and online coursework. Our goal is help owners train their own service dogs instead of having to wait years and/or pay a fortune for fully trained service dogs. This is a much more affordable option. I'm also a firm believer that training your own service dog helps the handler as well. It's learning process for both the dog and the handler. This program will start from the very beginning with all of the crucial foundation work that must be done before a dog is ready to start working on public access. By the time the year is up, you will have worked through all of the foundation work, moved on to Canine Good Citizen training, then on to public access work and training your specific service dog tasks. This program is only for legitimate service dogs. All applicants will be screened to ensure the program is not taken advantage of. The program timelines is as follows...
We can substitute the Day Training for a 3 week Board & Train to start instead of the 8 weeks of Day Training. This would add $1000 to the cost. All Board & Trains are Mon-Fri and they go home on the weekends.
- Start with a zoom meeting to get to know each other and what your final goals and service dog tasks are
- Gain access to the VIP Facebook Group
- Begin the 8 weeks of Drop Off Day Training (M/W/F) as well as the 6 month online course
- Graduate into Canine Good Citizen class (3 months, test at end)
- Move onto 8 privates lessons to work on public access as well as your specific service dog tasks
